Christ Builds His Church

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.”
Colossians 1:13 ESV

New Members & Baptism

On Sunday, we had the privilege of welcoming Brent and Jericha as church members and celebrating Brent’s baptism. It never ceases to amaze us that Jesus Christ continues to save sinners and knit them into His church. We’re grateful to count this dear brother and sister as fellow church members and co-heirs of grace.

Remembering the Protestant Reformation

Next Tuesday, October 31, has something way better than candy and costumes in store. It’s Reformation Day, which means this Sunday is Reformation Sunday.

In the past, we have hosted a big party after our service but we are scaling back this year. There will be nods to it in our service. However, we want to encourage you to celebrate outside of Sunday morning.

Below are a few resources to help each of us understand, appreciate, and thank God for the Protestant Reformation.

An Invitation to Deeper Rest

Life is Hectic
Rest in Jesus

We wish everyone could have joined us for Church Camp 2023. But for those who couldn’t, and for those who want to give it another listen, we have the audio from Pastor Eric’s Sunday sermon at camp. It covers Hebrews 4:1-11 and invites us to rest in Jesus no matter how exhausting our hearts and our lives feel.

Take Courage

Acts 22:30-23:35

We gather every Sunday to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed. God's Word is preached and the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts. We expect to encounter God and be equipped to better serve him each week.

Thanks to all who missed the sermon because you were serving during the service. We are grateful for you and couldn't have done it without you. Enjoy listening to the recording.

Baptisms This Sunday

Dead to Sin
Alive to Christ

Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change, a heart that has been made alive by the power of God. Baptisms please God, encourage the church, and demonstrate the gospel to a watching world.

We will be holding a baptism immediately following our Sunday morning service this week.

If You’re a Christian, Don’t Wait

If you believe in Jesus but have never been baptized then take advantage of this opportunity to confess your faith publicly. Learn more about baptism and fill out the form ASAP if you're ready.

What Should I Do With My Hands?

The Physicality of Faithful WOrship

The director of Sovereign Grace Music, Bob Kauflin, has written a biblically-faithful and insightful article on what to do with our bodies when we sing. God’s word instructs us to use every part of ourselves as we worship Him. Though it may look different for each of us, it’s good to give attention to this aspect of our lives.

Jesus said we are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). As much as we’re able, that love is meant to be shown in and through our bodies.

Take a few minutes to read and consider Bob’s article.
