Special Service This Sunday

Communion Service 3/10 at 5:00pm

Every year on Daylight Savings Sunday we hold a special service. On Sunday, March 10th we’ll celebrate our annual Communion Service at the Woman’s Club. Our regular morning service is canceled and we gather for a meal at 5pm. We will eat, talk, laugh, sing, and, most importantly, reflect on the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ.

This is a potluck so we need your help to make it happen! See below for what to bring and other questions you may have. If you would like to help out or have additional questions, contact Sue Card.

FAQS

What should I bring?

  • Households of 1 or 2, bring a side (green salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni salad, etc.).

  • Households of 3 or 4, bring an entree.

  • Households of 5 or more, bring a side and an entree.

  • We’re counting on volunteers for dessert. If you want to bring something sweet to share, please do!

Is a baby/toddler included in my household size?

If you expect your child to eat the food with us, please count them.

Will there be childcare?

No. We’ll be together the entire time, so don't feel bad about getting up and down from your seat with your children. Think of it like a family dinner. We will provide busy bags for kids to use during the service and a few activities in the garden.

Who should take communion?

All who have trusted in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins whether members or guests. Click here to read our beliefs about communion.

How can I keep my dish warm?

Plan to bring your crockpot. You’ll be able to plug it in at the buffet table.

I have special dietary needs. Will there be food for me to eat?

This is a potluck so everyone is contributing. We would advise you to bring something you know you can eat.

Are guests and regular attenders welcome?

Yes! We would love for all to join us.

Do You Feel Overwhelmed?

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7 ESV

At our monthly prayer service next Tuesday, we’re setting aside time to pray for those among us battling anxiety, depression, or any other mental struggle.

God doesn’t promise to alleviate every dark feeling immediately, but He offers to carry your burdens and give you peace that passes understanding. We’d like to pray for you in faith. We’re setting aside 1 hour at our prayer service to do just that.

So come this Tuesday, 3/12/2024, from 7:00pm-8:00pm to receive prayer and pray for others. We’re full of faith that God wants to meet you.

Make Much of Jesus

John 3:22-36

We gather every Sunday to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed. God's Word is preached and the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts. We expect to encounter God and be equipped to better serve him each week.

Thanks to all who missed the sermon because you were serving during the service. We are grateful for you and couldn't have done it without you. Enjoy listening to the recording.

We Start Early On Easter Sunday

Donuts & Coffee
9:00am - 10:00am
Easter Sunday

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is worth celebrating! We’ll celebrate with singing, preaching, praying, and Scripture like we always do. But we’re also providing donuts and coffee before the service so you can enjoy an extra hour of fellowship.

There will be plenty of donuts (including a gluten-free option), coffee, and friends to enjoy the moment with. We’ll have our photo booth, so come dressed to impress (see the photos from last year right here).

You could just show up at 10:00am. But don’t do that. Come at 9:00am and mark the moment with our church. Everyone is welcome.
