Your Marriage Matters

“‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.”
Ephesians 5:31-32

Our marriages reflect the glorious truth of the gospel. That’s why we give ourselves, by God’s grace, to grow as husbands and wives — so that Christ is honored in our love for one another. But this is no easy task.

An Update on Small Group Ministry

Are Small Groups Our Best Way Forward?

This past Sunday, the pastoral team announced that small groups are here to stay!

At our June members' meeting, they asked for our help in wrestling with the question, “Are small groups our best way forward?” This was a big question because, from the very beginning, we have organized our lives around big meetings and small meetings. Sundays and small groups. We love our small groups. This would be a big change.

However, we never stop evaluating and everyone's input was helpful. In the end it was clear that the best way to organize our life together in this next season is the way we've always done it: small groups but with an asterisk.

The asterisk is that changes are coming. We are discussing them with your small group leaders. There are holes we want to fill and areas where our small groups need to grow. If God has more for us, we aren’t going to leave anything on the table.

Thank you again for engaging us, trusting us, wanting what God wants, excelling at loving one another, and loving your church one small group at a time. May God continue to bless the "one another" ministry of Sovereign Grace Church.
