Caleb And Zach Join Our Committee

Church Finance And Law Committee

A group of trusted church members assemble regularly to provide the pastors with the counsel and oversight they need to steward our finances and legal responsibilities. These individuals help establish policy, administrate accounting and reporting functions, and offer an alternative voice of counsel to our church leadership.

Last month we added two new members to the committee: Caleb Brown and Zach Davis. You can find more info on all the committee members here. These individuals are always available to answer questions.

Please join us in praying God with grant them wisdom and courage as we make it our ambition to reach our city with the gospel.

    Audition for Our Worship Team

Being a musician in our church is a delight. There's nothing more rewarding then leading people in song who love to sing. And Sovereign Grace Church loves to sing!

We exist to make music. More than that, we exist to make musicians.

Our aim on the worship team is to make musicians who exhibit "undistracting excellence" as they offer their talents to bring God glory and build His church. Musicians who get more joy from hearing God's people sing than from performing.

If you have musical talent, we want to hear from you.

If you are a member or a regular attender pursuing membership, fill out the form below and we will be in touch about having you audition for the team. The commitment is for 1 year beginning in September.

*Auditions are scheduled for 8/14/2016, so please fill out the form ASAP!

    This Thursday.

Don't this month's Youth Meeting. All Junior and Senior High students. This Thursday, July 14, 6:30pm.

It will be a casual evening of fun and fellowship. There will be a Nacho bar with all the fixins, and S'mores around the fire pit for dessert. Mmmm.

The Espositos are hosting the event. They live in North Orange. For directions or more info contact the Espositos.

    Learning From A History Book

David is one of the many who took our challenge to read 12 books in 12 months. Last month we read a history book. David's choice was California: A History by Kevin Starr. Here was the sentence that stood out to him...

"To use the recent language of literary criticism, Disneyland is a text through which we can look back and re-experience the hopes and fears, the beliefs and illusions, of a postwar generation in the throes of creating the place we know as suburban Southern California."
