Every day people from our city read about our life together on Facebook. It's one of the many ways we reach out and invite them to consider God's offer of reconciliation. Your connections to one another and our church make a difference. Plug in and get the word out.
New music from our partners at Sovereign Grace Music.
Pastor Eric recommended the following book during his sermon:
The Company We Keep: In Search of Biblical Friendship
"Fellowship might be described as that special sense of companionship and love among believers based on our unity in Christ...But in this book I want to help you see what Christian fellowship can look like when taken to the next level and applied more personally. This is fellowship that has been given added depth, refinement, and detail through active investment in one another’s lives. It’s what I’m calling biblical friendship."
Do we need to obey the Old Covenant Laws?
What is the Law of Christ?
Is the Law useful for evangelism?
You don't need to be a part of Theology on Tap to follow along. These are the questions the men are tackling this month. Here is a sample of their reading assignments:
Have you been wondering about all the books and movies that keep coming out about heaven? The so called "heaven tourism" genre? 90 Minutes In Heaven was released today and promises to be big.
But is it true?
Take some time to follow the graphic below. It was posted today on www.challies.com.
A new album is coming from Sovereign Grace Music. Listen to the title track above.
Sooner Count the Stars: Worshiping the Triune God
"What kinds of songs should we use to praise a God who has revealed himself to us in Scripture as one God in three persons? At the very least, they should inspire gratefulness and amazement that God the Father has joined us to himself through the substitutionary sacrifice of his Son and sent his Spirit to open our eyes to his love. We pray that’s the effect of listening to and singing the songs on Sooner Count the Stars."
Why Mark ended with verse 8.
Pastor Eric spoke today regarding our omission of the longer, alternative ending printed in the English Standard Version translation. We won't be preaching a sermon from it since we do not believe it's authentic.
While the longer ending (and various shorter endings) are a good reminder as to the trustworthiness of our bibles, you may still have questions.
