It's Time to Pray

Our new ministry year kicks off with a Prayer Service. We host these each month. It’s a time to devote ourselves to the ministry of prayer.

Is Anyone Among You Sick?

Whether a chronic illness or a new diagnosis…
Whether life-threatening or just uncomfortable….
Whether you’ve asked for prayer many times before or never mentioned it to another soul…

We want to pray for you. Come so you can receive prayer. If we ask in faith, God will answer.

For everyone else, come so you can be available to pray for those in need. The more the merrier.

Join us for 1 hour next week.

Tuesday, September 10th
7:00pm-8:00pm

Introducing Our Camp Hosts

Church Camp begins exactly one month from today. We’re excited to announce that Chris and Wendy Macadam have agreed to be our first-ever Camp Hosts! They’ll encourage us and help us get registered. At the camp, they’ll be greeting us and getting us moved in. They’ll give instructions and plan activities. They’ll have s’mores and other fun planned for our evenings around the bonfire.

Praise God for Chris and Wendy! May the Lord bless them as they lead us at Church Camp.

Don't Read the Bible Alone

You want to read the Bible. We want to help you do it. We host annual Bible reading challenges to do just that.

Women’s Bible Reading Challenge

The women began their challenge on Monday, but there’s still time to jump in. They’re reading through the entire Bible in a year. There are options to do shorter versions of the readings. Kirsi Turbedsky is hosting a kick-off party this Saturday. Email Kirsi with your RSVP and with any questions about the challenge. Sign up using the form here.

Men’s Bible Reading Challenge

The men are preparing for a new challenge this year. They’re doing a deeper dive on 4 books of the Bible with the assistance of a Bible commentary. The goal is to grow in understanding, interpreting, and applying God’s word. If you would like to sign up, fill out the form here. If you have questions, email Pastor Dustin.

Hope in God

Psalm 42-43

We gather every Sunday to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed. God's Word is preached and the Holy Spirit transforms our hearts. We expect to encounter God and be equipped to better serve him each week.

Thanks to all who missed the sermon because you were serving during the service. We are grateful for you and couldn't have done it without you. Enjoy listening to the recording.

The Grove Expands This Sunday

From 2 to 3 Classes

Our children’s ministry is growing! Starting this week, we will offer 3 classes every Sunday:

  • Seeds (0-2 years old)

  • Roots (2-3 years old)

  • Sprouts (4-7 years old)

Details about The Grove are available here.

One Big Way Parents Can Help

Register your kids before the service. We set up for registration in the lobby each Sunday before the service. It helps check-in run smoothly when parents register their children before the service. Make plans to arrive early.

Thank You Volunteers

Our children’s ministry is run entirely by volunteers. Kirsi Turbedsky, Keith Cochran, and Stephanie Cochran are the leaders. They lead a team of church members who heroically volunteer with our kids each week. Thank them. Pray for them. Encourage them. Rejoice that God is using them to help us pass the gospel to the next generation.

Boomsmas to Bozeman

The Strength of Partnership

Ron Boomsma has pastored Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena for over 25 years. This past Sunday was his final Sunday in Pasadena. He and his wife, Tami, are relocating to Bozeman, MT as Ron becomes senior pastor of Emmaus Road Church. Emmaus Road is a church in our denomination that’s been without a pastor for about a year.

Ron has been a wonderful partner and friend. He’s been a mentor to our pastors. He was instrumental in the planting of our church. He’s an expression of the strength of our partnership in Sovereign Grace Churches.

We thank God for Ron and Tami. We thank God for Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena and commend them for their faith in sending the Boomsmas.

Please pray for Ron and Tami, Emmaus Road Church, and Sovereign Grace Church of Pasadena. Transitions always come with challenges, but we can confidently intercede for our friends as they enter a new season.
